Toc Hostels and Suites in Barcelona are a great option for anyone looking for comfort, cool interiors and a central location.
You’ll find a hostel and hotel in Barcelona city centre, although, so far, I have only experienced the hostel, although, the hostel offers a mix of hostel and h hotel style accommodation under one roof with a selection of dorm rooms, mixed, female, male only and private rooms.
As hostel accommodation continues to grow and up their game, long gone are the outdated views of what a hostel is and TOC hostels and Suites is an excellent example of this.
It’s a great option if you would like a bit of luxury on more of a budget.
This hostel chain was recently acquired by Room 00.
There is an excellent mix of work space for the digital nomads, along with outdoor space for those looking to relax and soak up the Vitamin D in the summer months.

Where is it?
TOC hostel and Suites is centrally located on
Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 580, L'Eixample, 08011 Barcelona and its conveniently located near to Universitat metro stop, not too far from Plaza Catalunya.
There is also a TOC Hotel on Carrer Del Carme and if the name doesn’t give it away, it is more of a hotel.

Back to the TOC Hostel and Suites on Gran Via and this one offers mixed dorms and female only plus there are private rooms available.
There are rooms with private bathrooms in the rooms and others with seperate bathrooms, bizarrely, the rooms with separate bathrooms are often a few euros cheaper.
In my opinion, the rooms with separate bathrooms are better, as having a hostel dorm with 6 people or more and a bathroom in the room, is not the the best idea, purely personal, of course.

Atmosphere and experience
It’s a light and airy place to stay with lots of space to sit and work if you are a digital nomad, hanging out or have some work to do.
The brilliant thing about staying in hostels is there are often great spaces to hang out and relax and TOC hostel and Suites certainly delivers on this.
In the living room there are lots of books, a pool table and art work on the walls which changes often.
If the weather is good there is a gorgeous sun deck with sun loungers and a mini dipping pool, perfect for cooling down on a hot day and an excellent luxury for a hostel/hotel to have.
For me, TOC Hostel and Suites is an beauty of a place to stay and I hope to be able to try out other destinations too.
The prices of staying here can fluctuate greatly (and other accommodation in Barcelona) depending on the season, what is happening in the City and other factors.
Prices can range from 15 to 90 for a dorm room or so I have seen so far.
I can’t wait for my next stay.

Cost to leave your luggage
If you arrive early or want to leave late, you are welcome to hang around the relaxing living room area with your luggage or leave them in the lockers in the hostel.
Amenities
There is a gorgeous terrace, a mini pool, pool table, plenty of seats, loads of gorgeous artwork, books galore, incredible helpful staff, laundry, kitchen and comfortable rooms.
There are female only dorms and private rooms available too.
Unfortunately, so far I haven’t tried the private rooms but look forward to the day I do!
